VOLUNTEER: Volunteer Events: MESA uses their volunteer events to teach people the value of native plants and plant diversity as well as to build stewardship for the natural areas of the park. You can join us at our regularly scheduled work parties. We meet at the red roofed Environmental Education Pavilion at 10:00 on the second Sunday, third Thursday and third Saturday of each month. We provide tools and gloves. Special work parties can be arranged at other times for larger groups. There is a work party on the first Saturday of each
month at the Native Plant Border beginning at 9:00 AM. There is also
a work party on the first Monday of each month at the Native Plant Nursery
beginning at 10:00 AM.

partnership with the Seattle Parks and Recreation Department that enables
you to steward a small area of Promontory Point for habitat
enhancement. We provide tools, native plants and additional
volunteer support. The Steward commits to at least five site visits each
year to remove invasive plants, replant native plants and maintain the
site. Individuals or groups may become site stewards. Interested? Contact
